Children at St Paul'sHere at St Paul’s we believe that children are important to God and are an integral part of the life of the church.  God’s word is as relevant for children and young people as it is for adults, so we have an enthusiastic team of leaders who aim to teach them the Bible in an enjoyable and stretching way.

Child reading BibleOur aim is to make Explorers a warm and welcoming place where children can feel secure and happy as they grow in faith through sharing friendships and experiences within a framework of relevant biblical teaching.

Our aim is to teach the Bible to children in a relevant and enjoyable way using a variety of presentations, songs, drama, prayer, crafts and activities. The children spend some time together and then split into smaller groups with those of their own age.

Explorers happens each Sunday in term time, except when there is a Family Service. It starts at 10am and finishes at 11.30.

The Church HallExplorers meet in church for with the rest of the church family at the start of the 10:00 service. After a couple of songs and a Kids' Spot, the children go to the church hall. Parents can either collect their children from the hall at 11.30 or, if you wish to stay for coffee and biscuits in church after the service, we can bring your Explorers back down to church.

Holiday Clubs

Each year we run a holiday club for primary school aged children. It is usually held in the last week of the summer school holidays in St Paul's Church.  More information our latest holiday club can be found here.
